The 2013-14 yearbooks have arrived.  If you purchased one you can pick it up during your lunch period today. If you have a brother or sister that graduated last year you can pick that up as well.

 

The first meeting to join science club will be held with 2 options.Fridaybefore school at7:40or after schoolon Friday at 2:40 both meeting options will be held in Mrs. Swint's room 504.

 

The 8th grade volleyball team beat Huron on Tuesday 17-25, 25-19, 28-26.  High scorers were Peyton Bloomer with 11 points and Kaytlynn Sandwisch with 8 points.  Their next game isMondayat home versus Clyde.

 

The Varsity Boys soccer team beat Clyde Tuesday night 12-0.

 

Scoring 2 Goals each were Andy Burnette, Liam Hall, John Pluto and Tim Poiry, Adding 1 goal was Tyler Bowlick,  Lucas Gregilla,  Allen Luecke, Nate Poiry.  Assists were made by Liam Hall with 3, Andy Burnette, Nick Damron, Allen Luecke, Nate Poiry, Gage Wilkins having 1 each.  Kyle Draper had 3 saves. Player of the game was Liam Hall

 

Oak Harbor is 4 – 0 in the league with 4 shutouts. This victory extends the streak to 14 straight league shutouts for the Rockets Boys Soccer team. Next games Saturday Sept 6 Home vs Genoa (4 pm with JV at 2:20 pm).

 

The Varsity Girls Soccer team also defeated Clyde on Tuesday 11-0.Scoring goals for the Rockets were Noelle Petersen with 3, Kara Branum 2, Ally Croy, Alexia Weis, Emma Barton, Maddy Rathbun, Seree Petersen and Abbie Mizelle each added 1. Assists were made by Maddy Rathbun 2, Noelle Petersen, Emily Kamann and Mikki Blunt. Ivy Martin had 3 saves and Gillian Allen had 1 save

 

Oak Harbor Varsity and JV Volleyball fell to a extremely good Huron team Tuesday night.  The JV lost in two 14-25 and 19-25.  The Varsity fell in three 7-25, 10-25, 10-25.  Annie Quisno led the Rockets with 4 kills; Jordyn Thorp and Athena Eli each had 18 serve receptions; Emma Bergman and Kasey Sundermeier each contributed 5 assists.  

 

The Boy's golf team defeated Edison to improve to 8-3 on the season.  Leading scorers for the Rockets were Travis Focht, Jake St. Clair, Ryan Pavlica and James Malin.

 

Attention Seniors:  College Recruiters will begin visiting our building onSeptember 5th.  Please check the calendar on the bulletin board in the guidance office for more information.  Don't forget to sign up for the meetings you are interested in attending.


The Varsity girls soccer team beat Ottawa Hills last night 4-0.  Noelle Petersen had 2 goals.  Alexa Weis and Karis DeWalt each added 1.  Noelle Petersen also had 2 assists.  Ivy Martin had 4 saves

 

The junior varsity boys soccer team defeated woodward last night by a score of 9-0. Scoring for the rockets was Kyle Smith, Nick Nye 2, Andrew Smith, Jeremy McClanahan, Holden Pelz 2 and Mark Bodi. Having assists for the rockets were Andy Buderer, Tyler Lovett, Kameron Keegan, Andrew Smith and Mark Bodi. Player of the game was Jonas Hetrick.

 

Attention Mr. Thiel’s classes:  Lab schedules will be reversed for today.  Students who normally have study hall will have lab today, and students who normally have lab will have study hall today.
