The lady Rockets track team won their third District Championship last Friday night. The girls qualified for regionals in 14 out of 17 events. 16 girls will be competing this Thursday and Saturday in Lexington for a chance to qualify for the state championships.

On Wednesday and Friday last week the men's track and field team competed in the district track and field meet and scored 61 points to place fourth in a very tough district with 18 teams in Division II. Senior Isaiah Jefferson fought threw the wind and rain and was crowned district champion in the 100m 11.05 seconds and runner-up in the 200m 22.73 seconds. Senior Mark Bodi placed in the 400m in lane 8 to qualify to regionals placing 4th. Junior Andy Buderer fought threw windy conditions in the pole vault to qualify to regionals. The 4x100 team of Garret Duty, Nick Damron, Andy Buderer and Isaiah Jefferson were crowned district champions. Lastly, the 4x200 team of Nick Damron, Ajay Riechman, Tyler Bowlick, Mark Bodi and Isaiah Jefferson qualified for regionals placing 4th. The Rockets compete in the regional meet in Lexington on Thursday and Saturday. Go Rockets!
