The boys high school cross country team finished 3rd as a team at the Norm Bray Invite Saturday. Marcus Hartlage finished 8th in 18:01 earning a tshirt followed by Clay Winterfield in 17th in 18:44, Max Hallett-Szymanski in 20th in 18:50, Cameron Crandall in 21st in 18:54, Levi Jacobs in 24th in 19:09, Caleb Goldstein in 27th in 19:19, Chance Milledge 28th in 19:21, and Michael Berlin 29th in 19:40. Way to go Rockets!
The ladies cross-country team had an outstanding meet at Norm Bray Invite over the weekend. They won the meet with 3 Rockets earning individual awards with their top 7 finishes. Hope Sievert was 4th, Anna Zeitzheim 5th while running a career best, and Auna Tack 7th with a pr as well. Emily Willis and Gabby Sharkey backed the pack with rounding out with 16th and 19th place finishes. Jessica Murphy ran a personal best and finished 48th. Oak Harbor girls soccer scored three goals in the first half and two in the second half of Saturday's game against Brookside to win 5-2. Oak Harbors first half goals were scored by Trinity Varga with Kenzie Huntebrinker getting the assist. The second by Kelsey Schling, Huntebrinker assisted this goal too. With 5:54left, Kelsey Schling scored again, Chelsea Rathbun had the assist. The two goals for OH in the second half were Seree Petersen with 13:27 left, Rathbun assisted with the goal and Emma Martin scored the final goal with 1:21 left in the game. Celia DeTray had 3 saves and gave up two goals and Ronni Hartlage had 2 saves.
The 8th grade volleyball team beat Norwalk and Western Reserve this weekend, starting out the season 2 – 0.
