Attention Seniors: Next Monday, September 18, is the first day there will be a representative from a local college here at OHHS to answer any questions you may have. Ohio Northern, Owens Community College, The University of Toledo, BGSU and many more will stop by over the next 8 weeks. Each day, a different college rep will be present, please stop by the guidance office to see the calendar of who will be here and on which day. You must sign up in the Guidance Office to attend.
Both the 8th grade Academic Challenge team and the High School Academic Challenge Teams will meet today from 2:45-3:15 in Mrs. Mills' room # 603.
Attention all swimmers not currently in a fall sport. Conditioning will begin Monday, September 18 from 4:30-6pm. Conditioning will be Monday through Friday until the start of mandatory practices. Contact Coach Sorg with any questions.
The boys cross country team placed fourth at the mile repeat meet, narrowly missing second place. Hartlage and Winterfield led the rockets in the six mile race with a time of 33:44, followed by Jacobs and Hallett Szymanski in 34:52, Milledge and Goldstein in 36:06, and the team of Walleman and Berlin in 38:27.
The ladies high school cross-country team finished as runner-ups in the Clay Repeat Meet last night. Runners were assembled as pairs each running 3 miles in 1 mile each format. Top duo was Anna Zeiztheim and Hope Sievert 1st place, Gabby Sharkey and Auna Tack finished 5th, Emily Willis and Jessica Murphy were 14th.
The Rocket Tennis team beat Calvert 3-2. Winning at singles was Chloe Duquette and Addi Hasselbach. Doubles winners were Chelsea Heaps and Sarah Chovanec. Other winners were Emma Zibbel and Jayle Rolhieser.
The girls golf team got their second win of the week over Rossford last night 210 to 217. Medalist for last night against Rossford was Hannah Genzman shooting a 46. Medalist from Monday was Jaclyn Wojciechowski shooting a 41 against St Marys. Tonight the girls will tee off against Danbury after the boys... Good Luck Oak Harbor golfers
Varsity volleyball beat Margaretta last night 25-17, 25-14, 25-14. Leading in kills was peyton Bloomer with 20 and Logan Harris with 8. Kaytlynn Sandwisch had 27 assists. Peyton lead with 15 digs Abby Dornbusch added 13 and Ashley Riley had 12. Alaina Hetrick was 7 for 7 in serve receive. Peyton added 4 blocks. Volleyball plays Port Clinton at home on Thursday.
JV played a great game and came back to win in two 25-23, 28-26. Sophia eli was 15 for 15 serving while Lauren St. clair was 10 for 10 and Emily wolf 9 for 9. Madison McKtirick lead in kills.
