The Rocket Color Run will be on Homecoming Friday (Sept. 29th) at 4pm. If you are interested in running please pick up a form in the main office. Entry fee is $10. If you would like a shirt stop by Mrs. Gwinn's room. T-shirt cost is an additional $10.

 

 

Homecoming Court voting will be done online through your school email this year. Please make sure you can access your school email account prior to Wednesday. Voting polls will be open Wednesday, Sept. 20th at 7:30am - Friday, Sept. 22nd at 2:35pm. 

 

 

Attention students in grades 8-11:  Picture day is Thursday this week.  All students should have a picture taken if you are ordering pictures or not to be included in the yearbook.  If you need a new picture package information please stop by the office for another one.

 

 

On this Constitution Day did you know Our Founding Fathers signed the U.S. Constitution 230 years ago today, creating the world’s greatest republic.

 

 

Attention Freshmen:
Class Ring & Class Jewelry Orders can be placed on Monday September 18th, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm or on Tuesday September 19th, during lunches.  You will need to bring your order form and your deposit.  Extra Ordering Packets are available in the Guidance Office.  Also, don't forget to find a class ring for the "Oldest Class Ring" contest.

Attention sophomores and juniors interested in taking the PSAT at Oak Harbor High School on October 11th: please see Mr. Ramsey by October 4th to register for the test and to receive a practice booklet.  The test is $16, and checks can be made out to Benton Carroll Salem Schools.

 

 

The Girls Varsity Soccer team lost to Lexington 6 – 2 on Saturday. Kenzie Huntebrinker scored first with  37:37 left in the first half, Kyleigh Pluto assisted.  Elayna Krupp scored with 15:27 left in the second half.  Ronni Hartlage had 6 saves and allowed 6 goals.  Celia DeTray had 3 saves and did not allow a goal.

 

 

The JV Lady Rocket Soccer Team fought hard against Lexington on Saturday but fell to the Minutemen 1-4. Koral Wilson scored the lone goal from a crossed ball in front of the goal by Haley Lenke.

 

 

THE MS GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH GIRLS TO FIELD A TEAM SCORE; HOWEVER, ALL 4 GIRLS RAN PERSONAL BESTS. 8TH GRADERS: LOGAN WAGNER TOOK 6TH OVERALL, MARISA KENNEDY TOOK 32ND OVERALL AND RIPLEY ST.CLAIR TOOK 40TH OVERALL.

 

 

MS BOYS CROSS COUNTRY WERE 3RD AT THE LAKOTA INVITE. SCORING FOR THE ROCKETS:  8TH GRADERS: CAM BLOOMER, ELIJAH IBARRA

 

 

The Oak Harbor Ladies Cross-Country team won Lakota Invite. This is their 2nd Championship trophy for the year. 

The top 5 scoring Rockets made top 7 finishes and earned individual plaques. 2nd Hope Sievert, 3rd Auna Tack, 5th Anna Zeitzheim, 6th Gabby Sharkey, 7th Emily Willis, and Jessica Murphy had a pr and earned a ribbon.

 

 

The Oak Harbor boys' cross country team earned a team trophy for placing second Saturday at the Lakota Invite.  Marcus Hartlage earned a plaque for fourth place in 17:29.  Clay Winterfield earned a medal for tenth place in 18:26 and Levi Jacobs for 13th place in 18:38.  Other medal winners were Cameron Crandall in 15th, Caleb Goldstein in 16th, Chance Milledge in 20th, Michael Berlin in 26th, and Max Hallett-Szmanaski in 30th.  Way to go Rockets!

 

 

The 8th grade volleyball team brought home the trophy at the Genoa Tournament on Saturday.  They defeated Genoa, Liberty Center, and Northwood.
