We are looking forward to our fall Red Cross blood drive on October 31st. We have over 80 donors signed up. The Science club and the Art Club are also running a Halloween fundraiser to benefit the Red Cross hurricane relief! Face painting or favorite hats are permitted on Halloween for those who donate at least $2 in advance to the hurricane relief fund. The art club will even provide your face paintings before school on October 31st if needed. Sign up and donate by October 23rd with one of the following teachers. Mr. Painter, Mrs. Gilbert, Mrs. Swint, Mrs. Scott, Mr. Schlagheck or Mrs. Kreager. Let's have a spooktacular Halloween!!
If anyone would like to get some volunteer hours by helping with Halloween in the Hallways, please stop by for a short informational meeting today after school in room 400. If you can not come to the meeting, but still want to help stop by room 400 to sign up.
Seniors who have siblings- The due date for senior sib pictures is this Friday. If you were unable to get your picture taken last Friday, make arrangements with Mrs. Gilbert sometime this week to do so.
Art Club and Thespian members- our annual Halloween Costume Contest Party will be this Thursday from 4:00-5:30 in the art room. Bring a snack, dessert or candy to share. Pizza will be provided.
The boys cross country team finished fifth and only a few points from fourth this past Saturday at the conference meet. Marcus Hartlage led the rockets earning second team all SBC honors. Cameron Crandall finished next in 17th followed by Levi Jacobs in 25th, Max Hallett-Szymanski in 37th, Caleb Goldstein in 38th, Chance Milledge in 39th, Michael Berlin in 42nd, Clay Winterfield In 45th, Brady Walleman in 46th, then Dustin Huff, Nicholas Timmons, and Christian Newman.
Congrats to Hope Sievert and Anna Zeiztheim for making 2nd team SBC. The team finished 4th overall.
On Saturday the OHMS girl's cross country team brought home the SBC Championship trophy. This was the first time in 30 years!!!! Congratulations to Madi Adams, Ashley Schiller, Maggie Puckett, Logan Wagner, Marisa Kennedy, Danae Karshuk& Ripley St.Clair.
The boy's were 4th overall. Leading the Rockets was 8th grader Camden Bloomer, who took 4th place. Not far behind him was 7th grader Owen Miller and 8th grader Elijah Ibarra. Lukas Lieske and John Aston helped to score for team as well.
