Open mats for all wrestlers not currently in a fall sport starts this week Tuesday and Thursday right after school, in the wrestling room.

 

 

There will be a 7th and 8th grade Halloween dance held next Thursday, October 26th from 3:30-5:30 at the high school. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5. Feel free to wear costumes.

 

 

Any 8th grader involved in cross country or track and field who would like to help Coach Wojtowicz with Halloween in the Halls, please stop by room 502 and sign up!

 

 

Winter track conditioning is fast approaching. There will be a short meeting for all girl high school track athletes Thursday morning in Coach Augburgers room at 7:30. Those not already signed up for varsity remind updates can do so by texting 81010 with the message of @rockettrac

 

 

Attention HIGH SCHOOL Academic Challenge Team: We will have practice every day this week from 2:45-3:45.

All Academic Challenge Teams: Thursday Pizza Party and Mad Scientist Lab preparation. 3:00pm-7:30pm

 

 

We are looking forward to our fall Red Cross blood drive on October 31st. We have over 80 donors signed up. The Science club and the Art Club are also running a Halloween fundraiser to benefit the Red Cross hurricane relief!   Face painting or favorite hats are permitted on Halloween for those who donate at least $2 in advance to the hurricane relief fund.  The art club will even provide your face paintings before school on October 31st if needed. Sign up and donate by October 23rd with one of the following teachers. Mr. Painter, Mrs. Gilbert, Mrs. Swint, Mrs. Scott, Mr. Schlagheck or Mrs. Kreager.  Let's have a spooktacular Halloween!!

 

 

The boys cross country team finished 9th out of 16 teams Saturday at the district meet in Galion.  Marcus Hartlage led the rockets in 27th place in 17:35 followed by Clay Winterfield in 51st, Levi Jacobs in 55th, Cameron Crandall in 60th, and Caleb Goldstein in 67th.  Great race boys.  Way to finish the season!

 

 

The ladies cross-country team ended their season at Districts. They had an outstanding season by winning 3 Invitationals. 

 

 

The Varsity Girls Soccer team lost to Central on Saturday 1-3. Kelsey Schling scored with 4:12 left in the first half, Elayna Krupp assisted. Oak Harbor finishes their season 11-6-1

 

 

The Oak Harbor boys soccer team defeated Liberty-Benton 2 – 1 in overtime for the team’s fifth consecutive Sectional Championship. The game-winner came off a through ball from Aidan Barton to Nick Damron who beat two defenders and the Goalkeeper. Luke Jacobs scored the first Oak Harbor goal on an assist from Nick Damron.

Andy Buderer had another outstanding game in Goal for the Rockets and made 8 saves on the night. The Rockets will face Number 1 seed Van Buren on Tuesday night at 5 pm at Tiffin Columbian High School.
