On Monday, January 1st, Oak Harbor HS kicked off a Kindness Matters campaign. The New Year gives us a new chance to be kind today, and every day. Please tweet @OHcounselors with an example of an out of the ordinary act of kindness you've performed this week for a chance to win gift cards. Let's see how many examples of kindness we can celebrate!

Menu change….we will be having Salisbury steak and chicken tenders today instead of Monday, and on Monday we will have the BBQ Rib and Mini Corn Dogs.

Welcome to 2018 and we hope it's a great one! The number one new years resolution for this year in a National Survey was to  "be a better person"  This gives me great hope for our nation and you!  It is so fitting and ties in nicely with our "kindness matter's campaign that kicks off this month."  But what does kindness really look like?  There is a passage that was written  over 2 thousand years ago  that is still very relevant in today's world.  "Do to others as you would have them do to you." It's a pretty powerful passage that still can be applied in today's world. Now let's think about applying this into our rocket community.  How do you treat your classmates, teachers, staff, how do you want to be treated? How do you respect the neighborhoods you walk through, the stores you visit?  Kindness does matter and it starts with each of us. So this year rockets, be better than 2017, be kinder in 2018.  With something to think about, this is Mrs. Schell.  Make it a better world in 2018, the choice is yours!
