Attention Junior Girls:  Anyone interested in attending Buckeye Girls State in June, which is a week-long leadership camp, please plan to meet with Mrs. Shirkey for a brief meeting in the guidance office after announcements on Jan. 22

 

 

 

The boys basketball team is sponsoring a Eat Wings, Raise Funds night at Buffalo Wild Wings in Fremont on Monday, January 20th from 5:00 – 9:00 pm. Come out and enjoy and great meal while supporting the boys basketball program.

 

 

 

8th graders interested in going out for track and field this spring, voluntary conditioning will begin Monday, January 27 from 3-4 and will continue on Monday's and Wednesday’s until the official start of the season. We will meet in the high school cafeteria. Be prepared to practice indoors and outside. Any questions, please see Coach Ahlberg in room 502. Hope to see you there!

 

 

 

Do you think you’re good at badminton? The Advanced PE class is sponsoring a doubles badminton tournament on April 4th after spring break, to fundraise the Oak Harbor PE department. Be on the lookout for more information posted around the hallways. Make sure to sign up on the google form!

 

 

 

Today is the last day of the “Share What You Can” Food Drive.  It is turning out to be a close competition between 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place.  Totals currently stand as follows:

  • Congrats to the FRESHMAN for surpassing their goal of 200.  They are in 5th place with 216
  • The JUNIORS have slipped into 4th place with 351
  • Taking over 3rd place by a narrow margin of 10 cans are the SENIORS with 361
  • Ahead of them by 7 cans are the 8TH GRADERS with 368
  • Still  holding onto 1st place are the SOPHOMORES with 593

Final totals and the winner of the cookie buffet will be revealed on Tuesday morning.  On behalf of NHS and the BCS Food Pantry, thank you to everyone who contributed to the food drive. 

 

 

 

The Rocket Middle school wrestling team split a pair of matches last night beating Clyde 45-22 and losing to Perkins 25-61. Picking up 2 more wins for the Rockets were James Sander, Tate Tomor, Tait Dusseau, and Garrett Lindsay. Splitting matches were Jacob Sandwich, Scott Smith, and Evan Hall. They will next compete next Thursday at home against Fassett.
