Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Tuesday, August 29, 2017

Today is the first day that we have all of our kindergarten friends together.  We hope you all have a great day!

Every year our kindergarten friends start a great celebration of colors.  Today is the first day and today’s color is red!  Here are a few fun facts about our first color:

*Red means “beautiful” in Russian.

*There are at least 23 different shades of red crayons.

*Two percent of people in the United States have red hair.  Alright, there’s proof

for my fellow red-heads that we are very special!

Tomorrow we will celebrate the color orange.

Since we don’t have any RCW birthdays to celebrate yet...here are a few famous birthdays.  Happy birthday on August 29 to political figure John McCain, legendary musician Charlie Parker and the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Today we will gather at 2:00 pm in the gym for an assembly to review our PBIS rules and to kick off our fundraiser.  Please be ready to listen, be responsible for your body as you sit in your spot and be respectful to all of the speakers and our special guests.  We look forward to a great assembly together!

And now I will ask you to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and say the Pledge of Allegiance.
