Good morning R.C. Waters!
Today is Friday, September 1, 2017
Welcome to the month of September!
Every Friday is a Rocket Pride Friday here at RCW! We celebrate what makes being a Rocket so amazing! For the first few weeks I will share with you all about what makes up Rocket Pride. What does it mean to our students? Here are 6 ways we can show our Rocket Pride:
Make good decisions at school, during sports, community events and club meetings.
Show leadership in school, our community and on the playing field.
Be respectful and kind to teachers, coaches, parents and community members.
Work hard in school.
Be respectful and proud of our school.
Set a good example and be a good role model to others.
Let’s show our Rocket Pride today and everyday!
Today is “Green Day” in our celebration of colors! How fitting since today is a Rocket Pride day?! We love the color green in Rocket Country, don’t we?!! When we come back to school on Tuesday we will wear the color blue.
Looking forward to next week...Monday we will not have school in honor of Labor Day. Tuesday night at 6:00 pm is the first TIE meeting of this school year. Kids, bring your loved ones along - childcare is provided. Wednesday we begin our first rounds of Data Team meetings and continue those into Thursday. Next Friday is the TIE Kalahari fundraiser night. We have an exciting week ahead of us!
Now I will ask you to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and say the Pledge of Allegiance with today’s leader, Tucker Brown. After we finish with the Pledge, Tucker will lead us in singing the Fight Song! GO ROCKETS!
