Good morning R.C. Waters!
Today is Friday, September 8, 2017
Today is our final color celebration day and it’s “Rainbow Day!” The word “rainbow” comes from Latin meaning “rainy arch.” Double rainbows occur when light bounces inside the water droplet more than once before escaping the spectrum of the second arch and it will be reversed. Sometimes third or fourth rainbows can be seen. Rainbows are amazing!
Today is also a Rocket Pride Friday. The first part of Rocket Pride is making good decisions while playing sports, in school, during activities and at home. It is important to always consider our actions - think about what you are about it do and then decide if you have made the right choice. Making the best choice will definitely show your Rocket Pride!
Looking forward to next week... Monday night is a Marco’s Pizza Night! If your loved ones want an easy dinner plan for Monday then here’s just what you need! If you call and place an order to our very own Oak Harbor Marco’s, make sure to give your teacher’s name so that your class can receive the credit. At the end of the night Marco’s will total up all of the points and let us know who the winning class is and then they will receive a pizza party of their own! The big winners are RCW because Marco’s donates a portion of the night’s profits to our school! Now that’s Rocket Pride! Looks like the Literacy Committee will meet on Wednesday at 3:10 and then our first grade friends will go on a field trip next Friday.
Now I will ask you to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and say the Pledge of Allegiance with today’s leader. After we finish with the Pledge, she will lead us in singing the Fight Song! GO ROCKETS!
