Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Friday, September 15, 2017

Today is a Rocket Pride Friday.  Rocket Pride means displaying good leadership qualities in school, the community and during sporting events.  Being a leader is very easy and often is a quiet activity.  A leader makes good decisions that others look to and learn from.  A leader will encourage others to do their best in a positive way.  A leader will work hard even when the task at hand is difficult.  Let’s all be good leaders and show our Rocket Pride today and every day!

Our first grade friends will be traveling to the only original school house left in Ottawa County.  What a wonderful opportunity you have to enjoy a treasure in our community!  Let’s remember to be ready, responsible and respectful first graders.

Tomorrow is National Step Family Day.  I am a step-child.  I am fortunate to have had many good people in my life including my step-fathers and my step-mother.  I am also loved by step-grandparents.  Step-families mean that there is more love to give and share.

Mini-cheer clinic forms are due today.  If you have one in your binder, folder or bookbag please make sure to give it to your teacher.

3rd graders, your fire safety plans are due on Monday.  If you have not finished your’s already please take time over the weekend to do so!

Looking forward to next week... on Monday our fundraiser forms are due.  Tuesday, we have a BLT meeting after school. Thursday is fall picture day already!

Now I will ask you to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and say the Pledge of Allegiance with today’s leader.  After we finish with the Pledge, will lead us in singing the Fight Song!  GO ROCKETS!
