Good morning R.C. Waters!
Today is Tuesday, September 26, 2017
Today is “Johnny Appleseed Day.” John Chapman was known as Johnny Appleseed. He introduced apples to large parts of Pennyslyvania, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. He was an American legend because he was kind and generous and a leader in taking care of the land around him.
It’s Day 2 of our Homecoming Spirit Week! Today is “Team Tuesday!” Today is the day to show off your favorite team and team colors. Be proud RCW! Tomorrow is “Wacky Tacky Day.” GO ROCKETS!
Here’s a “Healthy Tip for your Tuesday”…in honor of “Johnny Appleseed Day” I would like to share with you 3 healthy benefits of eating apples.
Apples can help whiten your teeth and keep them healthier.
Apple skins help keep your heart healthy.
Red apples contain an antioxidant, a very important thing our body needs, called quercetin that helps your immune system.
Speaking of health, for those staff members who signed up for flu shots, your appointments are tomorrow! If you need a reminder on what time you are scheduled, stop by my desk.
Color Run forms are out and ready to run back in! Registrations can be sent to the office and I will make sure they get to the middle school.
Tomorrow night there will be a Homecoming parade and bonfire. The parade will start from the parking lot at IGA and move down Water and Church Streets to the Middle School. The bonfire will take place on the Middle School football field. GO ROCKETS!
