Good morning R.C. Waters!
Today is Friday, November 3, 2017
Happy “Sandwisch Day!” I think I’m going to Subway for lunch to celebrate the occasion!
Today is a Rocket Pride Friday. As we enter this month of Thanksgiving, let us be thankful for the Rocket Pride we have. I have seen great examples of our Rocket Pride lately. Yesterday I mentioned the kindness that a 3rd grade student showed by donating her birthday gifts to the Ronald McDonald house. This selfless act makes me proud to be a Rocket along with her. I am also proud of the students who go out of their way, like a first grader "Mr. J" to help others especially when we have new students join our RCW Family. I am also proud of my “Front Door Boys” who spend quality time with me in the mornings. We have wonderful conversation and they are always willing to help me and others. We live in a great community, filled with awesome people and lots of ROCKET PRIDE! GO ROCKETS!
Looking forward to next week....on Monday we have Data Team meetings for grades 1 and 2. Tuesday brings more Data Team meetings for kindergarten and 3rd grades. We also have a TIE meeting that night - who’s ready to be crafty?! I am! On Wednesday the 2nd graders will have an assembly in the afternoon and then Thursday we have afternoon parent teacher conferences. Next Friday students will not have school so that more conferences can be held that morning.
Here’s your kindness idea for the day…forgive someone who has wronged you. This can be difficult and challenging but is a very big way to show kindness.
As we begin another beautiful day here at RCW, I will remind you to always be:
Now I will ask you to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and say the Pledge of Allegiance with today’s leader. After we finish with the Pledge, he will lead us in singing the Fight Song! GO ROCKETS!
