Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Thursday, November 9, 2017

Happy early “Vanilla Cupcake Day” tomorrow! It’s never too early for a sweet treat!

R.C. Cagetakers:

Here’s an idea of kindness for your Thursday…being kind is important when it comes to the environment.  You can use less energy by turning off lights as  you leave a room, using smart lightbulbs, wearing an extra layer of clothes instead of turning up the heat and many other ways to be kind to the earth.

Who loves to swim?!  Who wants to learn how to be a stronger swimmer?!  Who wants to swim in races?!  If you answered yes to any of those questions then Rocket Swim Club is for you!  We have forms in the office and lessons and swim club are just waiting for you to join!

Looking forward to next week....students do not have school tomorrow due to Parent-Teacher Conferences.  Enjoy your day off!   Next week begins our Holiday Bureau Food Drive.  We have Family Math Night on Tuesday and it’s a Marco’s Pizza Night - what a great combination!  Thursday brings a meeting of the Literacy Committee after school that day.

Thank you to our 2nd grade friends who shared the letters that they wrote to Veterans all this week.  As we move closer to Veterans Day on Saturday, I hope that all of us have been inspired by their words to thank a Veteran ourselves in our own unique way.  Please consider writing a card or letter, making a phone and saying “thank you” to someone who served our country so bravely.

As we begin another beautiful day here at RCW, I will remind you to always be:

  • Ready

  • Responsible

  • Respectful

Now I will ask you to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and say the Pledge of Allegiance with today’s leader.
