Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Friday, January 19, 2018

R.C. Cagetakers:

Recess with RC:

Today is a Rocket Pride Friday.    Rocket Pride is sharing our time with loved ones and community members.  Today Mrs. Lutz’s class will have a “Learn With Me Day.”  This is a wonderful time to show loved ones the amazing things our kindergarten students are doing.  Learn With Me Day also involves some of our high school students chosen to represent Rocket Pride.  They are able to work with our students which not only helps our kindergarteners but also benefits the high school students in many ways too.  Learn With Me Days are AMAZING!   GO ROCKETS!

PBIS Expectation of the Week:  This week we have talked about “using kind words when talking to others.”  Using kind words is not always the easiest choice and can be difficult to chose instead of shouting angry words because of how you feel.  We all have those moments but using kind words is the right choice.

Now for today’s trivia question:

Each class can send in one answer for the entire class on the special trivia contest form.  Have your messenger drop it into Humphrey’s cage out in front of the office.

Congratulations to today’s Oak Harbor Library raffle prize winner:

The mini-cheer clinic is tomorrow from 9-11 am at the High School. GO ROCKETS!

Coming up this Sunday is a Sunday Fun Open Swim.  The swimming pool and racquet ball courts at the High School will be open on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 pm.  Students must bring an adult with them.  Come out and have some fun!

Looking forward to next week....it’s the Great Kindness Challenge Week!  I look forward to learning more about this!  On Tuesday and Wednesday our 3rd grade teachers will hold their conferences in the evening.  On Thursday afternoon staff members will have a snack after school.  We have a great week ahead of us!

Now I will ask everyone to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and join our announcements leaders in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  After we are finished with the Pledge we will get ready for our day with the “Rocket Rumble”
