Today is Day # 5 and it’s our final day  in “The Great Kindness Challenge” week. What a great week we have had - so many ways to be kind.  I hope that you will carry what you have learned forward and continue to be kind each and every day!  Remember to turn in your challenges paper!

Here’s a kindness quote to help encourage you throughout today:

“Go into the world and do well.  But more importantly go into the world and do good.”

R.C. Cage Caretakers:

Today is a Rocket Pride Friday.    Tonight is a big basketball matchup between Oak Harbor and Vermillion.  They are playing for a share of the SBC title!  We are very proud of all of our athletes and wish the boys the best of luck!  They have had a great season.  Something special is happening at the game tonight - a food drive.  You might remember our food drive from this fall.  We brought in canned, boxed and bagged food and then it was donated to those who were in need.  The same thing is happening at tonight’s game and any Oak Harbor student who brings in 2 canned food items will get into the game for free!  What an AMAZING way to support our teams, show our ROCKET PRIDE and help our community at the same time!   GO ROCKETS!

PBIS Expectation of the Week:   Use appropriate voice levels throughout the building”

I “HEARD” that a level 0-1 voice in the bathroom is best.   Keep the rules in mind and don’t leave a mess.  Do not be loud and always be proud to remember the rules of PBIS.

Coming up this Sunday is a Sunday Fun Open Swim.  The swimming pool and racquet ball courts at the High School will be open on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 pm.  Students must bring an adult with them.  Come out and have some fun!

Looking forward to next week....we have a IAT meetings on Tuesday and then a staff meeting that afternoon.  On Friday afternoon Dr. Parmigian and Mr. Keeton will speak with our 3rd grade friends.  I am sure more fun will pop up throughout the week too!

Now I will ask everyone to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and join our announcements leader, in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  After we are finished with the Pledge we will get ready for our day with the “Rocket Rumble”
