Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Friday, September 7, 2018

It’s “Rainbow Day!”  I have seen some INCREDIBLE combinations of colors today.  How fun! It’s time to share some facts about rainbows:

  • It is believed that a rainbow got its name from its shape. A rainbow's arc looks similar to a bow for shooting arrows. ... Scientist Isaac Newton explained how a rainbow forms. Sunlight is really made up of the colors of the rainbow.

  • Rainbows appear in seven colors because water droplets break white sunlight into the seven colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet). You can only see a rainbow if the Sun is behind you and the rain in front.

  • When we see rainbows we think of many things like new beginnings, life and hope.

We hope that you have enjoyed our celebration of colors!

R.C. Cage Caretakers:

Looking ahead to next week...on Tuesday it’s a Marco’s Pizza Night and TIE will have a meeting at 6:00 pm.  On Thursday our 1st graders will take their field trip to the Old School House.

Now I will ask everyone to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and join our announcements leader in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  After we are finished with the Pledge we will get ready for our day with the “Rocket Rumble” and finish up with the Fight Song.

  • Today, what are we going to be?

  • Rocket Respectful!

  • What are we going to be?

  • Rocket Responsible!
