Joke of the Day

Dr. Seuss night is almost here so let’s talk about the man behind all of the wonderful books, Theodor Seuss Geisel.  He was born on March 2, 1904. Dr. Seuss was his pen name - the name he wrote his books under.  Dr. Seuss wrote 46 children's books and those books were so popular that several televisions specials and series, movies and even a Broadway musical were created based on his stories.  Dr. Seuss wanted everything to be perfect and he would sometimes spend up to a year on a book. It was not uncommon for him to throw out almost all of a project until he settled on a theme for a book. Let’s honor the great works of Dr. Seuss, or Theodor Geisel, Thursday night during Dr. Seuss Night.  The doors open at 6:00.

Today is the 3rd day of Ohio 4H Week.  Many 4h members enjoy 4H camp.  This is a very exciting part of 4H.  Campers spend a week on Kelly’s Island getting to know other 4H members from Ottawa County, playing fun games, learning great facts and making wonderful memories.  For our cloverbud friends there is Cloverbud Camp.  This camp lasts for 2 days and is a ton of fun!  Cloverbud camp is a great introduction to 4H and all of our kindergarten through 2nd grade friends are welcome to attend this camp.  Give camp a try - you will have a great time!

Make the day great R.C. Waters!
