Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Tuesday, September 1, 2015

Hooray for September!

Today’s color of the day is orange.  Besides being a delicious fruit, orange is the color of excitement, adventure and good health.  Orange is also a symbol of autumn or fall, my favorite season of the year.  As the leaves change color, look for the beautiful orange ones to fall from the branches.  Tomorrow’s color is yellow.

Today is “Healthy Tip Tuesday.”  Now that we are back in school, we have been going over the idea of PBIS.  One very important part of this program is how we should behave in the restroom.  Handwashing is a big part of that.  As you watched in the slideshow during Friday’s assembly, Mrs. Setzler demonstrated to us that we should use 1 squirt or pump of handsoap as we wash our hands.  Clean hands keep our bodies healthy and in turn help keep everyone around us healthy.  Using soap properly while washing our hands is something to think about it.  Stay healthy R.C. Waters!

Tonight is 1st grade parent night.  That sounds fun!

Here’s a note from our art teacher Miss Carr...please bring your art shirts to every class.  This way you are always prepared for the project of the day!
